Pathology laboratories
Collections from doctors’ rooms, hospitals and depots into your labs.
Run your collection rounds on the driver’s phone. Bags scanned, temperature recorded and handover signed at every stop — even where there’s no signal.

Labs measure almost everything — except what happens between the collection point and reception. That gap is where specimens are lost, delayed or rejected, and where disputes start.
An urgent collection comes in mid-morning. A controller phones a driver, the driver doubles back, and the rest of the round runs late.
A practice says nobody arrived. The answer sits on a paper run sheet, or in a WhatsApp group.
You find out at reception that a specimen is outside its window. By then, the patient has to be recalled.
Stops stay on the round because they always have been — whether or not they ever produce a bag.
Tomorrow’s round is generated when tonight’s closes, with stops in sequence.
The driver signs in and completes the vehicle inspection before the round unlocks.
Each bag scanned and counted, temperature recorded, photo, time and location captured.
Urgent collections are pushed into the live round — no phone calls.
Bags scanned in at the lab and signed for by the receiver.
A branded record for every stop, and expected versus actual time and distance for every leg.
Works with no signal. Everything syncs as soon as the phone is back in range.

A national pathology network ran WorkWide at a single depot for four weeks.
requests raised mid-run were absorbed into a live round and completed the same day
growth in weekly collections across the four weeks, with nothing reconfigured
stops completed with no signal and synced on return
scheduled visits collected nothing at all
Ten drivers, one depot, four weeks: 1,413 collection requests and 1,534 specimen bags, each one counted at the stop.
Once every stop was recorded, the schedule could be measured: 186 completed visits across 23 sites, over three weeks, with nothing to collect — and almost half the scheduled book at sites we would change.
On tracked legs, 153 legs
A month-one schedule review shows you which stops to:
Pilot data, 19 July – 16 August 2026. Client name withheld.
Collections from doctors’ rooms, hospitals and depots into your labs.
Proof of every collection for the labs, practices and pharmacies you serve.
Donor clinic collections and deliveries to hospital blood banks.
Scheduled collections with a record of custody from facility to disposal.
Vehicle tracking stops at the vehicle. The round runs on the driver’s phone, so you get the travel data and what happened at every stop. Already running a tracker system? We can integrate with it.
Built to run for hours with no signal and sync safely when the phone reconnects.
Time and location recorded on the phone when the photo is taken — not when a message finally sends.
Implementation and support in South Africa. You stay the responsible party; your data is never sold or used to train models.
No. The round runs offline and syncs when the phone is back in range. Every record keeps the time and location of capture.
No. Tracking follows the vehicle; WorkWide follows the person, through the phone, and records the stop, the bags and the handover. Where you run a tracker system, we can integrate with it.
WorkWide connects to other systems through open APIs. We have not built a lab-system integration yet, so we scope it with you before quoting.
Forms, stop types, checklists and branding are configured rather than built, and go-live typically takes two to four weeks once your site and route data is ready. Most operations start at one depot and scale on the same configuration.
The round records bags, counts, temperatures, times, locations and handovers. You decide what each form captures.
See a real round, then see what four weeks would show about yours.
