The Challenge
Rolling out DTT decoders at national scale meant managing thousands of installations per week through a large subcontractor network. Decoder serial numbers, customer details and activation status had to be captured accurately at the household and pushed into upstream activation systems — without paperwork bottlenecks.
The Solution
- Built a structured installation workflow with mandatory capture of decoder serial numbers, smartcard IDs and customer signatures.
- Used barcode scanning on the mobile app to eliminate manual entry errors at the doorstep.
- Integrated with the broadcaster's activation platform so successful installs trigger remote activation in near real time.
- Gave the customer a control tower view of installs by region, subcontractor and exception type.
